Join us for a summer of adventure, creativity, and connection on Hornby Island! Our camps are designed to help kids build confidence, make new friends, and create lasting memories through hands-on learning and outdoor fun. From forest exploration and creative arts to circus skills, sailing, kayaking, and ocean safety, each camp encourages curiosity, teamwork, and a deeper connection to nature. Led by passionate instructors in a safe and supportive environment, participants will spend their days exploring, learning new skills, and enjoying the magic of summer outdoors.
Summer Camp Programs
Nature Camp
July 6-9, 2026
10am- 3 pm
7-12 yr olds
Instructor: Frank Doss
Location: Outside! Meet at the Hornby Island Community School Entrance
This camp helps kids feel at home in nature through tracking animals, silent movement, edible and medicinal plant identification, bushcraft skills, games, stories, and outdoor exploration that inspires curiosity.
Registration fee: $220 per child
Ninja Camp
July 13-16, 2026
10am- 3 pm
7-12 yr olds
Instructor: Frank Doss
Location: Outside! Meet at the Hornby Island Community School Entrance
Explore ancient Togakure Ninja training with practice in stealth skills, night training, jumping, climbing and more! Done in a safe and supportive manner. This camp is full of fun!
Registration fee: $220 per child
Art & Adventure Camp
July 6-9 & July 13-16, 2026

Location: Hornby Arts Centre
In collaboration with the Hornby Arts Centre, this nature-based camp invites children to explore the forest through hands-on art, crafts, games, and imaginative play inspired by the natural world.
Registration fee: $175 per child/week
Circus Camp
July 20-23, 2026
6-9 yr olds AM group: 10 am- 12pm
9-12 yr olds PM group: 12:30pm-2:30pm

Location: Hornby Island Community School Gym
Join 7 Story Circus and discover the magic of circus arts through juggling, spinning, balancing, acrobatics, improv, and performance games that build confidence and creativity.
Registration fee: $240 per child
Safe Ocean Swim Camp
August 17-20, 2026
5-8 yr olds AM group: 10 am- 12pm
9-12 yr olds PM group: 1pm-3:30pm
Instructor: Jessie Hicks
Location: Tribune Bay Beach
Learn ocean swimming and safety skills including paddle boarding, snorkelling, swim technique, basic ocean rescue, CPR, and rip current awareness, led by certified swim and youth instructors. Wet suits and life jackets are recommended.
Registration fee: $195 per child
Sailing Camp
July 27-31, 2026
August 3-7, 2026

Instructor: Jessie Preston
Location: Fords Cove Marina
Learn the basics of sailing with Jessie Preston while focusing on fun and boating safety. Participants will practice launching, docking, steering, balancing, and propulsion. PFDs are required.
Registration fee: $465 per child/week
Kayaking Camp
August 3-7, 2026
8-11 yr olds AM Group: 9 am- 12 pm
11-14 yr olds PM Group: 1-4 pm
Instructor: Faroe Des Roches
Location: Sandpiper Beach
Hit the water and build your kayaking skills through fun paddling adventures, learning strokes, rescues, and confidence on the water! PFDs are required. Wetsuits are recommended. We have a few for rent at $15/week. Let us know if you need one.
Registration fee: $375 per child
