Choose a 1K, 3K or 5K walk/run and come together as a community to help raise money for cancer research. Walk it, run it, bring the kids, bring your friends — everyone is welcome!

Registration: 9:00 am
Run Starts: 10:00 am
Event Time: 9:00 am – 12:30 pm
Location: Hornby Island Co-op, 5875 Central Road
Distances: 1K, 3K & 5K
ROUTE INFORMATION
1K Route
Head down the trail alongside St. Johns Point Road, turn right down the main access road to Tribune Bay Provincial Park, then turn right onto the gravel trail toward Shields Road. Follow the gravel path back to the Co-op.
3K Route
Head down the trail alongside St. Johns Point Road and follow it as it turns along the edge of the park. Enter the park via the Tribune Bay Park Trail and wind through the mature woodland down toward the trail or beach. Follow the trail or beach toward Shields Road, then take the gravel path back to the Co-op.
5K Route
Head down the trail alongside St. Johns Point Road to the Big Tree. Cross the street and head up Chandler Road to the trail leading to the school. At the field, loop back toward the Co-op using the roadside trail along Central Road.

Thank You for a Great Summer! ☀️What an incredible summer of recreation on Hornby Island! A huge thank you to all of the kids, families, instructors, volunteers, community partners, and supporters who helped make our summer programs and events such a success.
From camps and drop-ins to community events, it was wonderful to see so many people getting outside, trying new things, making friends, and having fun together.
We are so grateful to everyone who participated, volunteered, donated, taught, cheered us on, and supported Hornby Recreation along the way. You are what makes these programs possible and our community so special.

Hornby Recreation would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the Hornby Island Community Fund for generously supporting our Recreation Event Support Tent Project.
Thanks to their funding, we'll have a new Recreation Event Support Tent that will help us create a more welcoming, visible, and accessible presence at community events and summer programs. The tent will provide much-needed shade, a central place to share information, support participants, and help keep our community safe and connected.
This investment will benefit people of all ages and will be used at recreation programs, community events, and summer camps for years to come.
