We're excited to welcome Alivia Acorn for an inspiring week of modern dance and ballet for children ages 6–12!
This fun-filled camp is all about movement, creativity, confidence, and self-expression. Campers will learn new dance skills, make new friends, and finish the week with a special performance at the Hornby Island Night Market!

Hornby Recreation would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the Hornby Island Community Fund for generously supporting our Recreation Event Support Tent Project.
Thanks to their funding, we'll have a new Recreation Event Support Tent that will help us create a more welcoming, visible, and accessible presence at community events and summer programs. The tent will provide much-needed shade, a central place to share information, support participants, and help keep our community safe and connected.
This investment will benefit people of all ages and will be used at recreation programs, community events, and summer camps for years to come.

Join us on August 1st, 2026 at Big Trib Beach for our annual Sand Castle Contest! Gather your family and friends, bring your creativity, and build your best sand masterpiece. Whether you're a seasoned sand sculptor or just looking for a fun day at the beach, everyone is welcome to participate.
Summer Drop-Ins
Get active, make new friends, and enjoy summer with Hornby Recreation's free weekly drop-in programs! Whether you're looking to kick a soccer ball, try flag rugby, hang out with other teens, or join a game of street hockey, there's something for everyone. No registration is required—just bring your energy, water bottle, and a positive attitude!

- Tuesdays – Flag Rugby: 6:00 PM at the Community School Field
- Wednesdays – Teen Drop-In: 1:00–3:00 PM at the Joe King Clubhouse
